How to save XWORDZ
Should you feel the desire to save a particular XWORD or XCODE to your PC, so that you can play it offline or e-mail it to your imaginary friends, whip out your notebook, cos I'm about to reveal the secret of the mystical saving procedure.
How big are XWORDZ?
XWORDZ do not contain any graphical images and as a result are very small in file size. This means they won't take up much space on your hard drive and makes them ideal for e-mailing to your mates.
Because XWORDZ are essentially just text files they also compress very well, so by using a program like "Winzip" you can reduce the file size considerably.

I'm ready to save
Once you have loaded the XWORD or XCODE you wish to save, you could just choose the File | Save As... option from your browser menu. Although this is a quicker method than the one I'm about to detail, doing so reformats the code which will result in a slight increase in file size.
The following method can be used to save an XWORD or XCODE with code formatting intact, which keeps the file size to a minimum.

Open the XWORD or XCODE you wish to save. |

Select View | Source from your browser menu. |

In Notepad (which should have launched to display the source code) select File | Save As... |

Change to the folder where you want to store your XWORD. |

Enter a filename where prompted.
NOTE: This MUST include an ".htm" extension (e.g. "xword.htm"). |

Click on the Save button. |
